Funds raised through Trudino will be used to help offset the cost of the three new aerators ("Watercannons") purchased and installed last summer. Background.... During the summer of 2022, pool temperatures frequently exceeded safe guidelines. As a result, our pool was closed and many practices had to be canceled. Sierra Marlins worked with the city to invest $15,000 in three new Watercannons to address the issue. The new equipment uses the natural process of aeration found in ocean waves, river rapids, and waterfalls to cool our swimming pool. It replenishes necessary fresh oxygen supply into the pool water, reducing hot water temperatures to more refreshing levels. The Watercannons were put into use this past summer and they are very effective, helping to keep the water temperatures at or around 82 degrees. We now have them for future seasons to come.
